This tire does not disappoint. For an all round tire, this is it and with the ExtremeContact DWS - you get what you pay for. (not the most expensive tire nor cheapest in the 205 55 16 but the best performer imho).

Spending a lot of time up in Big Bear Lake during the winters and the rest of the year in the Los Angeles area, I needed a great all round tire. If you've been up to Big Bear, you encounter weather to various degrees. Snow and ice, the tire handles nicely - dry and wet, I've never had a better tire EVER. Snow, actually is spectacular. I am a spirited driver - zoom zoom (my mazda) and driving a low budget tire just wouldn't get the job done for me. I've ran this tire for 30+ thousand miles and it's goin' like a champ. I regularly rotate my tires as called for and in return, the DWS takes care of me. Highly recommended.

The Fortera HL came on my Grand Cherokee over in New England. They've been great tires. Dry traction is certainly good and wet traction is right up there, too. I've heard this tire can be iffy in the rain but I haven't experienced any scares or hydroplaning with this tire. Even snowy conditions are handled well. Ice, not so much but then again, this isn't a winter/ice tire. I'd buy them again however, am looking for another tire to try out here in SoCal, maybe a more aggressive tire.
